TCI has developed game-changing technology to make “decorticator machines” that reduce the decortication costs of hemp by a factor of 10X to take advantage of the superior qualities and broad applications of the hemp crop. This is done by avoiding the need for retting, a costly and damagin process. This decorticator enables the hemp crop to be harvested in the morning, then immediately decorticated into fibre and hurd, then degum the fibre at lunchtime, and produce yarn for textile production by the evening of the same day. This is revolutionary. The D8 can decorticate one-two tonnes of hemp stalk per hour.

Be.e – Bio-based electric scooter

ABOUT INNOVATION
The Be.e is an electrically powered scooter (EU L1e-homologated) with a monocoque frame made from Natural-fiber (Hemp) Reinforced Composite materials. This innovative application of biobased composites is a world first in providing the structural reinforcement needed in the frame of the scooter. All the driving loads are carried by the monocoque.
By applying this material in the loaded structure we create a lower environmental footprint in comparison with conventional steel and plastic frame body combinations. It is also light weight, more robust and has a more rigid/stiff frame. This all results in improved driving characteristics and a longer expected life time of the frame.
We have fitted the Be.e with a high-end drivetrain, top of line components and most importantly an exquisite design delineating its out-of-the-box nature.

Paper making from hemp via simplest, enviromnmental-friendly device and minimal energy consumption, Euro-Open Research Ltd., have developed with a method, on a laborbatory scale which allows the cutting of wet (10% TS) biomass into microscopic pieces (0.1-100 micrometers) by using less energy than 20-30 kWh/m3. It corresponds to a specific energy consumption of 200-300 kWh/ton TS. Today’s paper technologies use for the precutting of cellulose (withouth refinement) approx.: 2000-4200 kWh/ton. Euro-Open Research Team would like to develop a simple hemp-paper making technology for farmers and small paper factories.
