HEMP IN KANSAS - A Legacy Crop Returns in USA

Mr. Kelly Rippel, representing the United States of America in WORLD HEMP CONGRESS 2018, as Vice President, Co-Founder Kansans for Hemp & Industrial Hemp Research Advisory Committee, Appointed Member Kansas Department of Agriculture USA, is one of the most prominent event speakers.



Kelly Rippel has been deeply interested in cannabis and hemp since around the age of 13 when his father told him about hemp research be participated in during the 1970s. As a result, Kelly's passion for evidence-based policy, public health and environmentalism has driven him to seek out a better understanding regarding the truth and history of humanity's relationship with cannabis. He attended the US National Cannabis Summit in 2015, CannaGrow Expo in 2016 and represented Kansans for Hemp at the Northern Colorado Hemp Expo during 2017. Working closely with Kansas lobbyists and lawmakers in the enactment of recent hemp legislation, he now advises the Kansas Department of Agriculture in creating rules and regulations for the state's industrial hemp program.

Holding a Masters Certificate from Cannabis Training University, Kelly is also an adviser to the patient advocacy coalition, Bleeding Kansas Advocates. He assisted in the development of the Kansas Safe Access Act, a comprehensive medical cannabis bill vetted by the Foundation of Cannabis Unified Standards (FOCUS) and the Kansas Health Institute.
